Oryema Sunday

Oryema Sunday is a quiet artist and a strong leader.
When we first met Sunday two years ago he was a voiceless child living with relatives due to his father's death and mother's disappearance. Overtime we came to know this young man and it became obvious that this child thought deeply and had much to say. He is a confidant to his friends and full of compassion for the maltreated.
Today he is still quiet, but now a confident young man standing over 6 feet tall, and his words carry weight. He is a force in his dance troupe, Gulu Theatre Artists, and courageously speaks out about injustice, even when it costs him personally. At his young age, Sunday is full of values and integrity and yet only in his first year of secondary school.
Sunday dreams of one day becoming a journalist so that he may "tell the world what goes on in other parts".
