January 201o

As we start the new year we are well aware that it is also the start of a brand new school year for our students in Gulu!
Next month we (Autumn, Brendan, Haley, Abby, and Casey) have the privilege to return to Gulu. While there we will be meeting with each of our existing Firelight students and their families, pay their 2010 school fees, and likely interview an additional 30 students that our local mentor has identified as in need of sponsorship. With your help, we are hoping to add some of these students to our program.

For those of you that have contributed in the past, we greatly appreciate the year's worth of schooling you helped provide and invite you to continue sponsoring these children. If you were matched with a specific student, we would like to invite you to continue a relationship. For those of you that have not contributed we invite you to help us add additional students to the program. The cost of sending one secondary student to school for a year (including room and board) is $350.00. If you would like to send a letter we will hand deliver it to the student. We also plan to post an update on each student, via our website or an upcoming student blog, by the end of March 2010.

Please continue to join us in this work. We are so excited to bring these students the kindness you have bestowed and will make every attempt to depict upon our return to the United States the joy that we will see across their faces.

Sincerely,
Firelight Project.
